Loyola University Family Business CenterDECATUR, ILL. – Huston Patterson Corp., Decatur Ill., was recently nominated for one of Loyola University Chicago Family Business Center’s “Illinois Family Business of the Year” awards. The Loyola University Chicago Family Business Center is an internationally recognized pioneer and leader in family business program development and research, serving as a resource to family businesses in the Chicagoland area and throughout the nation.

These prestigious awards are presented to small, medium and large family owned companies with a strong commitment to family and business. In addition to business success, those recognized will demonstrate family / business linkage, multi-generational family business involvement, contribution to the industries and communities they serve, and innovative business practices and strategies. All winners will attend the Loyola Family Business Center Business of the Year Awards Gala on Tuesday, November 30 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago.

“We are honored to have been nominated for this award”, says Thomas W. Kowa, Huston Patterson Corp. President and CEO. “The Kowa family has always valued and respected the relationship between business and family. We would not be here today without a strong work ethic and a keen understanding of how family can play a vital role in our success. However, giving back to our community is as important. My family’s commitment and support of Old Kings Orchid, a community center program targeting Decatur’s inner city children with summer and after school programs, is one example. Finding this balance has been our mission for years.”

As a world-class printing organization, Huston Patterson provides unparalleled value and performance through effective use of technology and craftsmanship by incorporating the unifying principles of trust, integrity and commitment. For more information, visit www.experiencetheevolution.com.
