Decatur ILL., - Label Printing Industries of America (LPIA), a special interest group of Printing Industries of America, is pleased to announce that Tonya Kowa-Morelli, Huston Patterson Corporation is the recipient of the 2012 LPIA Emerging Leader Award. She was recognized and honored during the LPIA Innovation Conference, November 7—9, 2012, at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort in Coronado, California (San Diego). The award recognizes an exceptional young professional of merit and accomplishment.

Decatur ILL., - Huston Patterson Corporation President / CEO Thomas W. Kowa was elected Chairman of the Association of Independent Corrugated Converters (AICC) Associate Members for the 2012-2013 membership year.

“Tom is now a part of a distinguished and dynamic group of leaders who have lead the AICC Supplier Community over the years”, says A. Steven Young, AICC President. “I believe this unique partnership between our box makers and suppliers is a key strand of fabric of our membership and one that makes our association so strong.”

Decatur ILL., - Huston Patterson Corp., Decatur Ill., is pleased to announce that they have added a Gandy Pred8tor, a grand format digital printer, to their printing capabilities.

“Our initial offerings will include our large inventory of un-laminated C1s packaging substrates as well as pre-laminated substrates on B and E flute. We have expanded the available substrates to include foam board, styrene and other similar substrates”, says Donald Ellis, Huston Patterson Corp. Vice -President of Manufacturing. “We have upgraded our Kongsberg table and offer short-run die-cutting to supplement the new grand format digital printer.”
